[DFN023] Mansfield Deathtrap Rerecordings "untitled" OUT NOW

Probably the most obscure artist ever featured here on Dictafawn, Mr. David Mansfield (or is it Mr. S?) has kept a very low profile in the noise and experimental scene since the early 90's, yet he's created literally hundreds of tapes, CD-Rs, art objects and of course microcassettes across several relatively unknown labels across Wisconsin. Out of a box set of nineteen tapes I bought off of him, I picked a completely bare [of info] Maxell Communicator Series C30 tape of wild shitjazz and was given the green light to release it here on Dictafawn.

But wait, the master was a C30, yet this isn't an MC30... what else could be on here?...

$5 for one MC60 microcasette. Comes with 2-panel insert, custom sticker and a strange, elongated case. Two variants of them, in fact.

[DFN022] Churner "Monowall" OUT NOW

You know the name, you know his game. Crunchy harsh noise on one side, muddy rumbling HNW on the other.

$5 for one MC30 microcassette (add $3 to order total if not USA). Comes with 2-panel insert & custom stickers.

[DFN021] Sindre Bjerga "Possibly False" OUT NOW

An apparent up-and-comer, Sindre Bjerga performs in a style I've come across quite a bit, something I like to call the "doing mundane shit on top of normalized noise" genre. However, whereas most in this genre instantly doom their listener's to a black hole of tedium and mediocrity, Mr. Bjerga: I don't know how you do it, but you manage to make chewing noises and brief, warped voice samples over barely progressive static sound remarkably captivating. I guess it could also be classified as dada music, though again, Bjerga has a leg up on anyone I've heard in that genre as well. Visual art by yours truly.

$5 for one MC60 microcasstte. Comes with three-panel insert and custom stickers.

[DFN020] Carl Kruger "Wild Music III" OUT NOW

The sequel to Wild Music II: Electric Boogaloo.

But in all seriousness, anyone who knows Kruger's work knows the "Wild Music" series certainly lives up to it's namesake, with both static and rapid-cut harsh noise that sounds like extra-terrestrials being tossed in a giant blender with shards of shrapnel and broken glass.

$5 for one microcassette. Comes with custom stickers & three-panel insert.
